Our Commitments

Agency through ArtsSEL Process

TALNT is committed to promoting positive self-efficacy as a tool of power and selfempowerment to eradicate social inequities teaching artists and youth face. In the 2020-21 SY, TALNT Digital piloted an informal scope and sequence of how programming extends the 5 SEL competencies with tenets of CFK’s agency framework through a TALNT process. The TALNT curriculum invites teaching artists, partners, and stakeholders to imagine how foundational mindsets and skills to develop agency also promote high quality TALNT.

TALNT Teaching Artists Acquisition

TALNT is committed to disrupting the status quo on the recruitment and retention of dynamic diverse teaching artists through addressing bias, outreach marketing, culturally relevant training, quality living compensation, and intentional school and community partnerships.

ChangeMEASURE Indicators

TALNT is committed to making every artist student understand real experiences through the enhancement and integration of social emotional evidence-based research and interventions alongside grassroots and community arts education practices. As a framework and protocol for teaching artists and student mindset metrics, it is both quantitative data and anecdotal evidence of connections beyond the classroom.
